Why are Stand Up Desks so Expensive?

 When you compare the price of a regular desk to a stand up desk you’ll be a bit shocked at how expensive it is to “add” the adjustability feature. Some of these desks cost hundreds of dollars, some even over $1500. Have you eve thought of that why the price of stand up desks is expensive than normal desks?

 

Because most stand up desks are actually height-adjustable so that you have the choice and there is a certain amount of mechanics involved. Also many are motor-driven which increases the price. And of course it is designed to serve you for many years even after thousands of adjustments. It is a good price for durable, comfortable and stylish desk.

 

The one I use I found here Standing Desks - A Way to Stay Healthy at the Office which was a fraction of the cost of a full-on adjustable desk. It’s very sturdy and well made and looks nice as well. It’s got plenty of space on the top to put various things like a computer keyboard, mouse, a laptop, coffee etc. Then you can also get a monitor arm that’s adjustable that lets you raise your screen up and down as well for when you’re going between the two positions.

 

There's more to it than a typical sitting desk. As stand up desk is much higher, structurally, there's a lot more than goes in to the design to ensure it's wobble free. Not to mention the cost of the mechanics involved for allowing the desk to be lowered, etc.
